About Us
What We Do
Pathways to Healthy Lives is a community based program aimed at reducing the risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease as well as detecting them as early as possible. Through education and screening, residents have an opportunity to learn about cancer and cardiovascular disease prevention and about early detection services. The Pathways to Healthy Lives program focuses on lung, prostate, female breast, colorectal, and skin cancers as well as cardiovascular disease. We provide public education focusing on making health dietary choices, being physically active, heart health, protecting oneself from sunlight and chemical exposure, and preventing initiation or cessation of tobacco product usage. Free cardiac risk profile, breast, prostate, colorectal, and skin cancer screenings are held in local communities within the eight counties. Collaboration between community leaders, providers, clinics, hospital, and Pathways to Healthy Lives makes it possible to offer services in local communities. Our objective is to increasing accessibility and reduces the amount of distance people must travel.Who We Serve
Pathways to Healthy Lives serves the residents of Adams, Billings, Bowman, Dunn, Golden Valley, Hettinger, Slope, and Stark Counties in southwestern North Dakota. Pathways to Healthy Lives provides education focusing on healthy lifestyles, cardiovascular disease, and cancer prevention within schools, businesses, health fairs, clinics, and other locations. Our activities are designed to have a positive impact on the entire spectrum of prevention, early detection, survival, and quality of life related to cancer and cardiovascular disease.Additional Information
